InkStone?
The inkstone is one of the most basic tools a writer can use. Blocks of solid ink are ground against the stone with water creating liquid ink. Japanese calligraphers say that one must use an inkstone to create ones own ink and infuse your spirit in to the very ink itself. Bottled ink is easy, cheap but has no inspiration within it.
